A Shared Tasting Experience of the Hunter Valley's Local Produce
Set under soaring wood ceilings with fans languidly circling above, the restaurant and its adjoining lounge and terrace are the venues for breakfast, long lunches and sunset drinks followed by an a la carte dining menu that’s designed either for sharing or more formal dining. Guests as well as visitors can enjoy lunch and dinner at Tower Lodge. Drawing fresh local produce from a community of local Hunter Valley producers and growers, as well as from the Hope family’s own Angus cattle farms in the lush green pastures of the Upper Hunter, the menu is a culinary experience of the region best shared with a loved one, or with family and friends around the table. Within view - or easy walking distance - is the kitchen garden where the kitchen and gardening teams tend to a growing section of edibles including herbs greens and native ingredients. Just across the way is a pasture home to the Hope’s own very local Angus cattle. The dining experience at Tower Lodge is designed to mirror the Hunter Valley’s intrinsic connection with food and wine. Guests will enjoy dishes that are simple and unpretentious, healthy and hearty, inspiring and imaginative. Seasonal menus showcase the outstanding quality of Hunter Valley produce, and its location allows the team to align with the philosophy of turning to the sea, mountains, and valleys for its produce.

Hope Estate Group Chef Anthony Fullerton heads up the kitchen at Tower Lodge, and comes with a commitment to working with local, independent producers, small farmers and growers – as well as produce from the Tower Lodge kitchen garden, a project he is keen to further grow. Anthony maintains a proudly ‘farm to table’ approach to dining at Tower Lodge.

DRINKS
Within easy, walking, access from Tower Lodge is a full range of premium, Hunter Valley beverages produced by the Hope family and their teams. The Hope Estate winery and cellar door is located directly across Broke Road from Tower Lodge, where a winery, brewery, distillery combine to offer estate-grown and produced wines, craft beer and premium Australian grain spirits. Tower Estate is a creation of Australian wine industry legend Len Evans AO and includes Hunter Valley Semillon, Barossa Valley Shiraz, Clare Valley Riesling, Adelaide Hills Chardonnay as well as a Macedon Ranges Malbec. Purchased in 2013, Tower Estate is a part of the Hope Estate family of beverages and sits alongside Virgin Hills, Hope Brewery, and the Hope Distillery. Tastings of wine, beer and spirits – so far including gin and vodka – are all available at the Hope Estate cellar door. Guests at Tower Lodge will be pleased to find an extensive range of Tower Estate vintages on the wine list and the Hope brews and spirits a refreshing accompaniment to lunch or as a sunset drink.
